We at Barnes and Hicks understand that not everyone wants a traditional funeral. Many people do not want any fuss and some people would prefer a memorial service after the cremation has taken place. We can offer a direct cremation with no service to Mortlake, West London or South West Middlesex Crematorium (Hanworth).
All payment to be made prior to the funeral date.
This will include the following:
- Provision of a Funeral Directors Service and attending to all necessary arrangements.
- Transfer of your loved on from a local place of death, during normal working hours. (within a 20 mile radius of our premises).
- Care of your loved one prior to the funeral.
- Crematorium Fee. Doctors papers if needed.
- Provision of a basic coffin.
- Provision of bearers and transport direct to crematorium.
- Date, time and place will be arranged by the funeral coordinator, (times will be 09:00am or 09:30am).
- Other crematorium can be used but may incur an extra charge.
This is a suitable funeral arrangement where no family attends but still a dignified service for the deceased.
This does not include the following:
Embalming, viewing of deceased, provision of a car or limousine, service at crematorium or church, funeral procession, service booklets, or collection of ashes.
Simple Funeral Service
Simple Funeral Service Starts at £2,995.00 Includes Hearse & Simple Coffin
The Simple options offer an early morning cremation or burial within a local crematorium or cemetery within a 20 miles radius of our office. This allows for a funeral service with a celebrant or minister where family can meet at the crematorium or cemetery to attend the funeral service.
(outside a 20 mile radius will incurr an extra charge)
All payment to be made prior to the funeral date.
The Simple includes the following:
- Provision of a Funeral Directors Service and attending to all necessary arrangements.
- Transfer of your loved one from a local place of death during normal working hours. (within a 20 mile radius of our premises).
- Care of yoiur loved one prior to the funeral.
- Provision of a basic coffin.
- Provision of bearers and Hearse direct to crematorium or cemetery.
- Date and time will be arranged by the funeral coordinator, (times will be 09:00am or 09:30am at local crematoriums or an early morning burial typically 10:00am).

Bespoke Service
Starts at £3,369 Includes Hearse & London Coffin
Bespoke and traditional funerals offer the flexibility to put together a funeral service to represent the life and loves of the deceased and the requirements of the family. This may be a cortege from the deceased’s address to the church for a funeral service followed by a burial or cremation or a service at the cemetery or crematorium chapel.
There are many transportation vehicles to take the deceased to their funeral service, from horses and carriage, vintage hearses, to motorbike hearses. There are also options for the family and mourners.
The family may wish to choose a bespoke coffin design, personalising it with colours and images or a traditional casket, coffin, or eco-friendly coffin such as willow or bamboo.
The funeral service can incorporate the deceased’s favourite music with a singer or musician such as a saxophonist, organist or piper or music by their favourite artist.
A service booklet can be produced with photos of the deceased, family and friends, poetry and readings, the service can be tailored and personalised to suit.
The celebrant will meet with the family to discuss the service arrangements. Doves and Balloons can also be added.
Other thoughts and ideas can be discussed with one of our dedicated members of staff.

- Transfer of your loved one from a local place of death during normal working hours if they have passed away in hospital or at any time if they have passed away at home or care home (within a 20-mile radius of our premises).
- Care of your loved one prior to the funeral.
- Bearers and a Funeral Director to conduct the cortege.
